Pasted text and imported files

Your prompt, document, code, JSON, or imported .txt, .md, or .json file is read by the page in your browser. It is not sent to our server for counting, pricing, comparison, context checks, or file import.

OpenAI-compatible token counting runs locally through the browser tokenizer worker. Other provider counts are labeled Estimated and use the same local proxy method described on the calculator.

Storage

This site has no login, no accounts, no saved prompt history, and no database. The application does not store pasted prompts or imported file contents in localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, cookies, URLs, or document titles.

Using Clear resets the calculator fields and releases the imported file content from the page state.

Network requests

Your browser still requests normal static site assets such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and tokenizer code. Pasted text and imported file contents are not placed in request URLs, request bodies, analytics events, or ad networks.

Analytics, ads, and third parties

This site does not include analytics scripts, ad scripts, affiliate scripts, third-party embeds, or sponsorship tracking. If that ever changes, the feature and this policy must be updated in the same release.

Pricing and accuracy

Token counts are labeled Exact or Estimated. Cost rows are pricing estimates based on public provider pricing recorded in the site's model list, with a visible last-checked date when pricing is available.
